FREE MBTI ASSESSMENTS! (For a limited time...)

If you've been reading through the blog posts, you'll notice we mention our paid assessments.  A lot!  What if I told you we were giving a limited amount to students...  at no cost???  The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessment costs $25.  But not right now.  And not for you!  If you are undecided about a major and career or have started a program but are having second thoughts, NOW is your chance.  Meet with an Academic & Career Advisor TODAY and ask about the FREE MBTI ASSESSMENT.  (Must be a current SLCC student.)

Advantages of taking the MBTI?
  • Find courses you could enjoy
  • Identify career fields and occupations you would likely find rewarding
  • Choose a major that reflects your interests
  • Discover potentially satisfying work environments
You may have taken a career assessment in the past, but not taken it seriously or things have changed.  Three reasons to take one are:
  1. Understanding your type can help with choosing major and career paths
  2. Knowing your preferences can help you do well academically
  3. Communicating your strengths is an essential part of the hiring process

DegreeWorks Plan-Help is HERE!

Track your academic progress with DegreeWorks

Hello, and thank you for choosing Salt Lake Community College!

I hope school is going well for you and would like to offer you an opportunity to use free SLCC resources to help you better chart your academic path by developing a degree plan.

SLCC has several DegreeWorks workshops coming up to guide students through their course planning process. We want to make sure you're taking classes that will fulfill your degree requirement, and DegreeWorks can do that for you. Ultimately, DegreeWorks can save you time and even money and help improve your overall experience at SLCC by making sure you're not taking costly courses that you don't need.

This is also the perfect time to learn how to use DegreeWorks because the summer months are typically slower for advisors, who are more readily available to help you with the planning process.

The following "Plans Tab" link is a tutorial to help you get started with DegreeWorks: www.slcc.edu/degreeworks/docs/plans-tab.pdf

Workshop dates for DegreeWorks are as follows:
We hope to see you soon at one of the workshops!

Sincerely,
